Angelica Lopez Arzate

     Born in the United States, Angelica started her piano studies at the age of 11 years in Mexico City. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music with honors from Mexico`s National University (UNAM) and her Master’s degree in Music from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

    Her achievements include Best Piano Performance in UNAM`s admission exam, third place in UNAM`s 2015 Piano Competition, and she received a scholarship to represent Mexico City at the International Musicalia Festival of Piano in Havana, Cuba. Also, she was finalist to play with the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico. Later, she received a scholarship to continue her master studies, where she was awarded with the "Fellow of the Graduate Studies".

     Her repertoire ranges from classical, contemporary, and Latin American music, as well as her own compositions and musical arrangements. As a soloist, she has performed in different venues in Mexico, Cuba, Bolivia, United States, and Canada. She also has contributed as a soloist pianist and collaborated with music
producers in radio and TV channels. Nowadays she is learning music production, and she is passionate about composing, and teaching piano and composition with the aim of motivating the love towards music in the younger generations.

 
    Angie teaches private Piano and Composition lessons at her home or in the student's home.  All levels and ages. Beginners to Advanced, children to adults.
